In China, Xiaomi offers two versions of the Mi Band 6: one with contactless payments and Xiaomi’s Xiao AI voice assistant, and another without. Unfortunately, the global model lacks those features too.
The xiaomi mi smart band 6 will be available in a limited number of countries, according to the company. We can assume that the Mi Band 6 would be available in most parts of the world, including India, at a later date, based on the Mi Band 5’s availability. It’s unlikely to make an official debut in the United States, but that shouldn’t stop you from ordering one from an international retailer like Amazon.
The design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is nearly identical to that of the previous two models.
The Mi Band 6 comes with a strap that is adequate. It’s soft and doesn’t attract dust or hair, so it’s a win-win situation. I’m not a big fan of pin-in-hole buckles, but I know a lot of people do. In addition, the Mi Band 6 is compatible with Mi Band 5 bands (and vice versa). Owners of the Mi Band 5 will keep their current straps if they upgrade to the Mi Band 6.
The upgraded display is the only significant design change. The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 has a 1.56-inch AMOLED display, which is 50% larger than the 1.1-inch screen on the Mi Band 5. The display almost reaches the edge of the case, giving the fitness tracker a far more sleek appearance
Weather warnings are also assisted to help advise you of adverse situations as well as include sunrise and sunset times as well as moon and tidal phases.
There is no ambient light sensor, unfortunately. And when watching it outside in direct sunshine, the display is bright enough. Even so, you might find yourself manually changing the brightness of the screen.
For the Mi Band 6, there are well over 100 watch faces to choose from. Just a few of the watch faces are customizable, and the rest of them feature cute anime characters.
Battery life is never a problem with Mi Bands, and the Mi Band 6 is no exception. With “standard” use, Xiaomi claims the fitness tracker will last 14 days on a single charge. If you’re just using the most basic features, that’s definitely possible, but that hasn’t been my experience.
Many of the Mi Band 6’s features quickly exhaust the battery. Using Xiaomi’s latest breathing score function, all-day stress tracking, or increasing the frequency of resting heart rate readings all have an impact on battery life and are not considered “natural” use. Since this is a study, I had it turned on. Most people, realistically, would be able to get just over a week out of the Mi Ban
